Aosta Valley is the land of the great mountains: besides Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps, the other three tops above 4000 metres (Monte Rosa, Matterhorn and Gran Paradiso) surround it like a crown. Considered the kingdom of ski and mountain sports, Aosta Valley is famous for its history and tradition as well, starting from its own countless castles. Jovençan is the most comfortable starting point for tourist itineraries in the Valley, to discover the unspoilt nature and the evocative castles, well represented by the scenic and renowned Fénis Castle, located about ten kilometres away, which dominates the landscape of the central valley with its quadrangular and cylindrical towers, as well as Fort Bard, and its own Museum of the Alps, which stands as a sentinel for tourists preparing to visit our region.
